OceanLake Commerce Licenses Mobile Mail Platform
Affordable Mobile Mail coming to new countries in Asia
Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Singapore – April 25, 2007. OceanLake Commerce Inc. (OLI-TSX Venture) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with an Asian mobile carrier to license the OceanLake Mobile Mail platform. This announcement represents a new win in the region and further progress for OceanLake’s strategy to expand its business globally.

OceanLake Mobile Mail is an affordable, real-time, push e-mail platform. For many, staying connected to friends and family while on the go is important. Until now that has been something that has required expensive specialized devices with equally pricey email plans. OceanLake Mobile Mail allows service providers to provide their users the ability to send and receive e-mail with any internet-enabled mobile phone or PDA at a fraction of the cost of other solutions in the market place.

“We are very pleased that additional carriers in the Asia Pacific region will be using OceanLake Mobile Mail platform. This platform enables service providers to offer affordable real-time email solutions that will work on existing devices.”, stated William Car, President and CEO of OceanLake. “There is nothing to install on the device and the set up is done through the web or mobile phone. Mobile e-mail for everyone is now a reality.”

OceanLake Mobile Mail polls the pre-configured email accounts and immediately sends a notification via text message to a person’s phone if there is an e-mail waiting. The user can then choose to open the message in their phone to view it. Reply and forward can also be done from the phone itself. In addition important reminders can be sent to the phone to make sure they never miss a thing. The platform supports the ability to offer payment options on the carrier phone bill whether pre-paid or post-paid in addition to credit card.

The as yet unnamed carrier will be launching the service to their subscribers in early May of 2007. OceanLake will announce the customer when the service is launched. Mobile Mail has already been successfully deployed at XL Indonesia to support their XLMobile Mail service. OceanLake’s Asia Pacific headquarters are in Singapore and will provide regional implementation and support services for the customer.
