OceanLake Launches New Mobile Pushmail Product
 
WPMail provides real time email alerts to any type of mobile device from existing email accounts
 
Singapore - January 4, 2006 OceanLake Asia Private Limited is pleased to announce the release of WPMail, a mobile PushMail product that provides mobile users of any type of device the ability to compose, send and receive from any existing email account.
 
The global success of text messaging (SMS) led OceanLake to develop a new value added product that combines the success of SMS with the strength of email. With a simple online registration where the end user provides their email address and mobile number, the end user will instantly begin receiving email alerts on their device using either WAP push or SMS.
 
WPMail sends users an alert directly to their mobile device any time an email is received. The user can read, reply and compose as they would normally do when using their computer. WPMail does not require any additional software to be installed on the phone or PDA and can be used with virtually any existing email account the user has. WPMail provides support for any POP3 and IMAP accounts including Hotmail, Yahoo! and GMail accounts. Unlike competitive offerings such as Blackberry, OceanLake's WPMail is not limited by device type. Virtually any type of device can be utilized with WPMail.
 
WPMail takes advantage of OceanLake's mScope product, allowing WPMail to be used with virtually any type of mobile phone or PDA with a browser. OceanLake's mScope product instantly reformats web content for virtually every type of mobile device with a browser. Currently, mScope supports over 7000 different types of devices.
 
OceanLake Asia is marketing this product globally to mobile operators as a value added service for all retail subscribers. OceanLake offers the WPMail on a revenue share basis to mobile operators and expects to secure its first WPMail customer in the very near future.
