Toshiba Japan to Distribute OceanLake mScopeXL© on the Magnia Network Appliance
OceanLake extends global reach with Toshiba Japan
 
Tokyo, Japan, Santa Clara, CA, Toronto, ON – July 2, 2003 - OceanLake Inc., (TSXV: OLI) OceanLake is pleased to announce that it has signed a distribution agreement with Toshiba Japan today, to bundle mScopeXL with the Magnia Network Appliance line, similar to the agreement between OceanLake and Toshiba America.
 
Mr. Sigeo Sato, Manager, PC Sales and Marketing Dept., Server &Network Division of Toshiba Corporation, JAPAN commented on mScopeXL market in Japan.
 
"mScopeXL from OceanLake is an outstanding product with a substantial demand in the Japanese market where over 70 million browser enabled mobile phone subscribers use their device everyday. Toshiba America started selling mScope Appliance server bundled with our Magnia boxes and achieved very good results in the North American market. To follow the success in North America, Toshiba Japan will begin selling mScopeXL bundled with the Magnia Series SG30 models."

OceanLake, Toshiba Japan and Sanwa Comtec K.K. will meet this week in Japan to begin the marketing campaign for the joint distribution of the product.
 
OceanLake’s mScopeXL product allows small and medium size businesses the opportunity to consider a mobile strategy, with a low cost entry point, where OceanLake’s competitors cannot offer a comparable solution.
 
OceanLake's sole distributor in Japan, Sanwa Comtec K.K. will supply Toshiba a subset of mScopeXL Japanese version as well as provide support for all customers of the bundled solution. Toshiba will preinstall mScopeXL and sell the server from July 2003 as an all in one Network Appliance Server product through its direct sales force as well as many large Toshiba dealers. Sanwa Comtec K.K. will also distribute the Appliance Server actively, through its 55 Channel Partners in Japan.
